Tried replacing the laser in one of my brothers xbox 360's. Done this a few times before and never had an issue but this time the laser seems to be messed up and won't read a game and makes a HORRID noise

possible could need a new PCB or could be bad spindle or worm gear motor. I can not see the video on Facebook try YouTube I can help you further along. Also did you remove the anti static point that is bridged for shipping ?

There is the video, sorry it's a few days later than i said i would get it up. You may not be able to see it in the video, but the laser starts to read the disc, then judders backwards as it makes that horrible noise
