If I upgrade my cpu and motherboard could I use the RAM that was in my old motherboard or should I just buy new RAM?

Depends. Need to know what RAM you're using right now, and what CPU/mobo you're upgrading to. Will also probably be useful to know your current case and PSU, both make and model.

You'll be fine though. What CPU are you upgrading from, just out of interest? As for motherboard, Z97S SLI Krait is a good shout. Beautiful board with lots of features for not too high a cost.
