Right, I'm not being rude but why won't your mum let you spend your money on what you want? If you want an rgh/jtag console then why not buy one. If not then grab yourself a nice headset, custom controller or buy something from the marketplace for a game you play.

If you want a modded console that bad, tell her how you could make money from it (even though you won't) and how you can learn more about computer systems etc.

As you're only 13, you could ask your parents to put it in a bank account for you. It will gain interest and in a few years you might have close to 1k. Interest isn't all that great in small amounts.

Just buy an RGH, and then say to your mom it's a regular xbox, because I highly doubt mom's will check for an xex menu on an RGH
