This post may not generalize all areas in th country, but from the information I have gatered there are schools all around the country that do this.

All year is projects, exams, and essays on a particular subject that the teacher is reviewing. You don't really learn much throughout the year other than a more advanced learning from the previous year. But weeks before the Midterms, Finals, or your state testing, they attempt to cram new information that you will need in two weeks. Of course, there are numerous other things wrong, but are irrelevant to me as of now.

Is it like this where you live? Also, for people in other countries, how is your education there? I would like to know if it is similar to our inefficient system.

Alright man, I understand where you coming from. In short teachers BS through the year and 2 weeks before exams they cram abunch of stuff and expect you to learn it. Tecahers expect students to go home and study info given, it can be alot to soak in but at the end of the day its something you should do. If you pay attention in class, go home and study, not play video games but actual have a passion to learn then at the end of the day its not very difficult.

Alright I got 25 F's through out high school, I failed around 12 classes and still graduated (2.02 ) .

If I can do it, you can do it. I know I did shit in school, but to be honest the last week of my high school carrer was hell and I knew if I didnt study for this I was going to repeat. So I actually did work and well it payed off.

The education system just considers students now a days as just a score or a number that is used to increase their funding they receive. If you ask me I don't think schools actually care about their students anymore.

The scores of standardized tests will always trump what the student has actually learned, regardless of what country you're from.

I`m in the 10th grade, but in 9th world history I exceeded on everything and when I got to the final I handed to the teacher the test back blank. I learned nothing that was on the final. Looked like a different language.

As a student from New Jersey, I can vouch that the education system is exactly that. My chemistry teacher in 11th grade barely knew how to teach the topic, yet alone speak proper English. When her supervisor came in to inspect her teaching, she simply had the Biology teacher teach the class. I learned more from the Biology teacher than I did in every class prior. She relied on the book for every lesson, not knowing the information herself. Keep in mind that I attended one of the top public schools in my county. The education system here is extremely flawed.
