Yes any exploit in the game is a way of cheating, there is a risk of being banned if you do something wrong but i wouldnt know what percentage it is that you'll be banned or not :/ apparently there is a big rockstar ban wave anyway which is an increase of bans given out, (i got banned 3 days ago)

I wasn't banned for modded vehicles (sorry if i got you confused) but im banned for 2 weeks (2nd ban within 2 months) :/ but i still wouldnt risk it my friend but its your choice at the end of the day, its always a temptation thinking about how much money you'll have at the end of it haha ;)

My friend was banned for 2 weeks for receiving the slam van and the topless casco. 2 week ban. Not worth the risk. Just wait until they're purchasable.
