I went with the Western Digital My Book 3TB. I decided to go with a powered drive instead of a portable one because I work at Best Buy and I had a customer come in with his son. He bought the powered one (WD My Book 3tb) and his son got the portable version (WD Passport 2tb) They did an installation test with the same game and the father's installation was done and the son's was at 90%. They told me they tried this with 3 different games and the conclusions were the same. Every time the father's was done, the son still had 10% to go. So comparing WD's portable vs. powered hard drives, the powered ones have a slight advantage (about 10% faster) and for anyone who has installed Battlefield 4 or the Master Chief Collection, knows that 10% makes a pretty significant difference. All in all it takes up another outlet but I'd suggest going with a powered one. Here's a link to the one I went with.

They also have different capacity My Books as well, just incase you weren't looking to spend $110. But I'd definitely go with a powered one vs a portable one.

I prefer the wd external drives. They work and low failure rates compare to other. I have no problem with the one i have.

Purchase one that suits the amount of
Games you will be getting in the future.
Unless you do care about the speed of the
Installs. Pick a powered one over a USB
