would it be smarter for me to go with a xeon instead of an i7 in my next rig? I of course game a lot but I also live stream.

The xeon and i7 are practically the same but the Xeon doesn't have a IGPU.

Whats your budget?
Are you wanting to OC?

You've posted a bunh of threads asking about different things? I mean, you had an FX-6300 rig and wanted to upgrade to a 4690k, and then you were just going to get a whole new rig?

What is it you're wanting to do? What is your system going to be used for exactly? Will you overclock? What peripherals do you have? What's wrong with your current rig? What components have you already got, from your other rig?

Well if you need support for ECC memory then xeon and some chips do come with IGPU support.

This is a xeon version of a i7 without IGPU

i was first just wondering if it would be worth it to get an i7 over an i5 because i occasionally stream and make videos and what not. But i would like to game and stream and honestly there isnt really anything wrong with my current setup ive just been thinking about upgrading for awhile, and as for the whole new rig i was just thinking like instead of having parts just laying around just build a new rig and give my other one to one of my siblings or sell it to a friend or something
