Dont want to sound like an idiot but if i buy a jtagged xbox would i be able to mod it with my mac?

No, you are unable to to mod with mac. Modding programs only work on Windows OS, you can download files just not programs. There are alternatives for this such as a program called 'Wine Bottler' which converts Windows OS programs into Mac OS X programs but this is just time consuming and annoying. I would recommend getting a Windows OS computer as it will benefit you in the long run for modding, definitely!
