1989 wrote I hate what they are doing and one thing I also hate is people like hating against Muslims and Islam because of these people. They say that the Quran says to kill and shit but it don't it says your not allowed to kill, its a sin to kill in Islam. Some people just dont understand.

liathewolf wrote It does not say in the Qur'an to kill others, in fact it is a sin, so Muslims are completely against Isis so why on earth would people think in the Islamic holy book it says to kill?

It does actually say Muslims should commit violence against non-believers.

However, there are levels of importance for verses from the Quran, and the verses of love and tolerance are of a higher importance than those of violence.
This is the same with the Bible and other holy books. Only the most extreme followers of the Religion, like ISIS, are going to see every verse with equal importance, or even verses of violence as the most important.

You are misinterpreting the Qu'ran. Read this - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The verse clearly states to fight those who fight you, yet do not transgress limits. In so sense therefore does it promote killing of innocent but allows self-defense. It further goes on to state "And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice" and "if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression". Hence, once again when the whole context is examined the verses do not promote killing of innocent in anyway.

I said it has verses of violence, I said nothing about whether the violence would be committed against innocent non-believers or those non-believers guilty of oppressing Islam.

My point still stands, it encourages violence against who they interpret as being oppressive to Islam, which according to ISIS is the entire world.
ISIS sees anyone who lives in a system which oppresses Islam and supports that system through taxation as an infidel. There are no innocent people in their eyes.

But they should also be holding verses about love at a higher importance.

Im sure they will be dealt with soon
They messed up by literally pissing off every Country in the world

They are Islamic, and have everything to do with the Quran.
There are moderates and extremists in every Religion, that is the only thing which needs to be kept separate.

They don't have anything to do with Islam are you blind?

What do they shout when they blow themselves up? "Allahu Akbar?"
Absolutely nothing to do with Islam.
