I had a slim PS3 for my first Jailbroken console. I tried switching from CEX to DEX (probably too early) and as I was still new to modding I messed up and got the red screen of death (RSOD). I tried multiple tutorials and solutions to fix it. I used every option in the recovery menu but nothing worked.
After it broke I got a PHAT Jailbroken PS3, I converted from CEX to DEX successfully and used it ever since to mod for TTG members and host lobbies for everyone.
But I was just sat here bored. And I thought why not just try and fix it again? I installed a 3.55 downgrade Firmware from the recovery menu and boom, my PS3 restarted, I went through the set-up of the language, time etc. And it's fixed.
I am so freaking happy which is why I literally wrote this whole story about it XD Thanks for reading I guess.
It's awesome having 2 Jailbroken consoles working again.

Yeah I've tried selling mine. No one would buy. It even has advanced warfare and destiny installed on it but no one was interested lol. I guess it's still fun to go on once in a while to mod. I barely host for TTG as most don't understand simple instructions/rules due to them being leechers with half a brain who do anything just for a mod.

Great job on fixing it.
I just added some thermal paste on mine as it was 74 c on idle @ default fan speed.
Now it's 62 c.
