First of all let me state I am talking about the religion and not the people that believe in it. I know muslims that don't think this but it is in Quran. It says to kill infidels (non believers jews and Christians) you get the point.

Tell me how I should respect this religion when it says to kill me? This will get flagged down probably and I don't care. Just think about it.

If that's their beliefs then it is what it is you may not like their beliefs or support them but there's nothing we can do about it.

No religion was peaceful at the beginning. Every religion (including Islam) progressed and changed over the last hundreds of years. Some groups, like the Islamic State, just want to bring the world back to that medieval era.

In the bible;

If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

That's old testament..... Jesus died on the cross for a reason.

Luke 22:20, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood."

This new covenant was prophecied in the Old Testament in Jer. 31:31, Behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah." It is referenced in 1 Cor. 11:25, 2 Cor. 3:6, Heb. 8:8, 9:15; and 12:24.

"Until Heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished" - Matthew 5:18

It's just another contradiction from the Bible, Old Testament and New.

I agree with you about Islam though. I think there are other Religions which deserve the title of, 'The Religion of Peace.'
It should also be a title which is earned through actions, rather than words.

Its not a opinion though. The quran says it. No opinion is needed. What about the Boston bombers mom that says americans will die and pay for what they do and that Allah told her that. No opinion of that, but thats her opinion.

They are radical extremists who are using the Religion as an scapegoat for vicious murders and other terrible acts of terrorism. They ARE NOT doing it for the Religion or even "Getting back at the West for all they've done"

They're doing it because they enjoy it.
