opinions? which is better suited for certain styles, designs, drawings, etc. ?

Illustrator: Drawings, logos and in general making 2D images. Photoshop: Effects and finalizing images.

Yeah man, Oranges & Apples. Some guys on here use both. Make a logo in Illustrator and add some effects to it in Photoshop.

Photoshop: Photo editing using pixels
Illustrator: Drawing using vectors

The layout is similar
But they function completely different

Personally, I use Photoshop for more 3D/Finishing touches.
Illustrator is mainly used for Vectors.
