980 is not worth the premium over 970. That motherboard has no support for SLI. i7 is a waste of money. Case is shit.

You've never heard of XFX? That's weird because they're a pretty big company. XFX use SeaSonic OEM. You don't always have to replace "EVERYTHING" if your PSU fails actually.

Why are Razer "bound to fail"? Their peripherals are over priced, yes, but that doesn't mean they're bad per se.

Alright, I think I'll go with something along with that build with the GTX 980

The fact that you haven't heard of XFX is surprising, they're a fairly large company. Regardless, XFX produce quality components, both GPUs and PSUs, as well as some other parts. Not trusting a company because you don't know them, is stupid.

I've changed my build up a little and if you guys think I have a part I shouldn't please let me know;

i7 4790- I got this cpu because I want to game, render, gfx, etc at high performance. I do not plan to OC so that is why I didn't get the 4790k.

Hyper Evo 212(Optional)- I choose this cooler because it is cheap and performes well. Idk if I'm going to get it or not, just haven't decided if I want the stock intel cooler.

ASRock Z97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard- I choose this motherboard because it was recommended to me in the past and it's cheap, if it's not good for this build please let me know.

Kingston Fury Black 8GB DDR3-1866 Ram- I choose this set of ram because I have been recommended this set in the past and I thought I might as well jump up to 1866mghz instead of 1600mghz.

Crucial BX100 250GB 2.5" SSD/Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM HD- I choose both of these because they are highly recommended and I plan to stick with both of these for my build.

Zotac GeForce GTX 970 4GB Video Card- I picked this GPU because I wanted a GTX 970 for my build and this was card that was recommended for me.

Corsair 500R Black ATX Mid Tower Case- I decided to go with this case because it's big, has good air flow, and has the extended panel for better cable management.

XFX XTR 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply- I picked this psu because it's enough for my build, and it's 80+ Gold Certified.

Corsair Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition (2-Pack) 37.9 CFM 120mm Fans- I wanted to get a set of fans so I could switch out fans or add more if needed.

$130 cheaper and far better. The 4790 is a waste of money. The E3-1231 V3 is basically the 4790 without the iGPU. Better/nicer cooler. Better peripherals. Wasting money on RAM is pointless and higher speeds will make no difference whatsoever.

After doing some research while having some breakfast, it turns out I do know the company, I didn't know them for their PSUs only the GPUs lol.

If you go with that build when there are much better ones linked I don't know anymore.

Alright, as for the extra fans are the two sp 120 good? or should I go with AF120?

Define R5 fan positions;
top- 3x140mm or 3x120mm
front- 3x120mm or 2x140mm
rear- 120mm or 140mm
bottom- 2x120mm
side- 120/140mm

So, run 3x120's in the front as intake, 2x140's in the top as exhaust and a 120 or 140 in the back as exhaust.
