ProJimmyRustler wroteBashful wroteWhat?! That surprises me you have so much experience with programming thoughProJimmyRustler wrote I'm a full time computer science major.
I'm interested in helping. I have many books on video game programming, Game math/physics, and game engine programming.
I finish the semester in a few weeks, and I'd be able to help more.
Off topic butttt,
I'm jelly bro xD
Your doing something I'll never be able to do, get a job in this field.
Being 20 and in HVAC, not very easy for me to get a job without official education in any computer field.
Degrees are everything unfortunately.
I have 8 years of unofficial experience. That doesn't mean anything. You could have a 2 year degree, and qualify for more jobs then I will.
Quite the opposite in HVAC. Having off the books experience is better then just having schooling lol.

If you wanted to get into the industry, all you'd need is a kick-ass portfolio.
I'm on a Computer Games - Software Development course and after speaking to several people in the industry, they often say that the degree isn't that important.
Being able to work in a team well, express your ideas easily and simply as well as just being good at the job is good enough.
A few of the people who dropped out from the 3rd year had been taken up by specific studios just because of their coding ability.
You shouldn't think that your chance is 0. You just need to prove that you are good.
Another good way to do this is go to some GameJams and other gaming events. I know someone on my course that was recently hired on the spot by Creative Assembly at GDC because our booth had a showcase of his game.

Oh cool!
I'll have to take a look. I have a bunch of half finished projects I could finish through my slow season at work and maybe get picked up by someone around me.
I'd probably have better luck also picking up a few different languages instead of just .NET, HTML, CSS and C#.

Oh, if you need someone to help with any of this, I am able to do some. I have a little bit of experience with game development through my uni course this year but I'm not exactly top-notch.
I'm using Unreal Engine 4 in a couple of my units so may be able to help out.
I also have access to 3D modelling suite (3DS Max) so can help with some of that as well. (I don't have photoshop on my PC so I won't be able to do any texture work though)
