Ok so 3 months ago i moved back to the UK (Finally) and we were looking for the best ISP after careful choice we decided to got with BT heard great things about them and was looking for to speeds above 1MBS (Spanish internet is bad) but no we kept getting delayed, new installation dates and engineers not showing up and then of course open reach did our line at the wrong **** exchange, so here we are almost 4 months since we placed our order with BT and guess what still no phone or internet, i find it so infuriating as you could build a house in that time then yesterday they had the cheek to ask us for money when we havent even got any of their "Superfast" service... another thing i dont get is that our neighbours who placed the order only 2 weeks ago now have BT's services, both new build houses so fingers crossed i will have internet by next year and wont have to use their shitty hotspots...

I pay for the fastest Sky broadband package (76mb)

From day one I was getting in the region of 25-33 mb

Without me needing to complain, they sent a text explaining that a technician was looking into it

Skip 3-5 days of irregular downtime and fluctuating internet speeds (never exceeded the low 30's)

They're baffled.

Abhorrent customer service.

tl;dr Sky is equally as shit. I want to go back to Virgin Media (infinitely better, got the advertised speeds too)

Yeah we originally had the 50mb Virgin package and was getting like 45! Upgraded for some reason and we get like mid 90's 7/8th's off the time! Customer service is also good.

Guess it depends on where you live since you are having a much more enjoyable time than OP with internet/ISP and what not

All ISP's have their downsides.

For example, I normally get 130mb/s download during peak times, today, im only getting 30. But, Its an internal issue which either my dad and I can fix or we will have to get a network engineer out since its not happening on the rest of the 2 modems we have. [Crazy arse setup we have in this household]

I get your rant though, but the only thing you can do is keep complaining to them. They will soon sort out their issues.

Im with Virgin Media by the way

I switched from TalkTalk to BT the other week. I had a lot of problems after superfast was installed, but BT seem to have sorted it.
Good luck with getting your Internet switched on.
