Trading tips

Ok guys i'm gonna make a topic about trading and some tips for some new people, now this topic is going to consist of Knife trading, knife patterns and Skin trading. Now, the knife patterns and Knife trading is gonna be at the bottom of this. Now lets get started.

Weapon skins

Now for starters if you ever want to get into trading buy a 1-3 dollar skin or use a skin you already have why I say a 1-3 dollar skin is because if you start off with like a 20-40c skin or something like that its going to take a lot longer then you expect it to take. So starting off with a skin that's very cheap is going to be very time consuming. Now another thing is DON'T GO FOR ODD SKINS THAT PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT, I say that because I decided to go for a FN MP7 Gunsmoke which is a cool skin but took very long to trade it up. So whatever you do DO NOT GO FOR ODD SKINS. When you do start off with a skin it will take you a bit of time to trade up (maybe like a few days to even weeks depending on how many people want it). So after you progressed to lets say 6-9 dollar skins, that's when you're doing alright you can start going for some skins that you always and stop there, or you can keep on going. If you plan to keep on going then go for expensive skins like maybe 30c-1 dollar more then how much your skin is worth. Another thing I forgot to mention was ALWAYS try and make profit, now if you're losing like lets say 10c then that's fine you're not losing like a 1 dollar or something stupid.

When trying to find a skin that what you want from the trade to make profit it will always take a few days to maybe a day if you're very lucky. Now one thing I would like to mention is scammers beware of them, when looking for trades of like items that you want someone will say they have a certain item, so lets you're going for a FT AK redline, you'll look in there inventory and they will have a BS AK redline as there trying to scam someone another thing is keep your wall so only friends can post on it, why? Because people will post links that jack your inventory.

Now back to trading, i'm going to talk about the Case hardened's, basically the way they work is if it has a lot of blue its worth a lot more the more blue the more its worth that goes for a Five SeveN Case hardened, an AK and a Knife thats case hardened. So if you have something like thats all blue, you can possibly get an item thats worth then the skin itself.

I would like to say one last thing, when trading be patience don't expect to get the item you want ASAP that is something that people need to know is to be very patience.

Knife Trading/Patterns

Now knife trading, knife trading is a bit more different depending on the type of knife you have. Lets say if you have a Case hardened knife and its all blue you can get a very good knife depending on how much blue there is and depending on if the person wants it or not. Starting off with knife trading is people will either start with a Flip knife or a Gut knife some start with more rare knives like a ST FN M9 marble fade or whatever. But when starting off with a Gut knife and or Flip knife aim for minimal profit before you get a bayonet or a M9 bayonet a Karambit will come later due to them being more expensive. Now when trading a knife as I said aim for minimal profit, don't try and get a ST FN Marble fade using a terrible Gut knife as that will never happen (It might depending on how stupid that person is but I doubt it) if you're using a gut knife to trade aim for like a Gut knife Night FT depending on the type of knife you're using, then go for a flip knife then to a Bayonet or M9 then to a Karambit.

Now StatTrak knives are the same there good for trading (going with a source) but depending on the knife and the rarity of it like for example a ST FN M9 or Karambit Crimson web, they go for a lot money about 10,000 dollars I believe which is insane but if you have one you can get a lot of items for it. Like you can get your dream knife from that and a few other knives just from that one Knife. Another thing is Trading up with a knife is odd depending on what type of knife you have, like a Slaughter people look for patterns, like a Diamond pattern or something like that. Now, there are about 3-4 knives that people want if they have what they want in it thats a Fade, Crimson web, Slaughter and a Case hardened, since I don't know much about there patterns here is a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] talking about patterns for a Fade, Crimson web, Slaughter and Case hardened.

Now im going to talk about a few knives one being the Doppler. The doppler is the best knife if you can get in Ruby or Sapphire form, and if you get that StatTrak you can get a lot more for that, because a Ruby and Sapphire dopplers are very rare you can get a lot more for that then you can get for a regular one. Now a Marble fade isn't really the same a ST FN M9 one is worth a lot but theres really no distinct pattern that makes it more money (Not that I am aware of) but if you have one of those in StatTrak then you are good and get a lot for it.

Now last thing people will say that they will give you 200K (Keys) you can either take it or leave it, some people have it to where they say there willing to give 200K (keys) worth of items or some will do 200K Pure keys meaning its just keys no items no nothing other then keys.

Now this Concludes my post here some links to help more out in the future of trading.

Quick question. I have a MW AWP Electric Hive that I have had sitting on the lounge for a while now. Probably about a month. I've been trying to trade it for a MW AWP Redline which is a good $1 - $2 profit. I offer people other skins but they always say no. What could I do to prevent them from saying no and what skins would you recommend me try to trade up to get the MW AWP Redline?

I would say ask them what they want added, thats what I normally do when people say "add something" I just ask them what they want added and see what I can do. But if you're the one making the trade I would say maybe add an Blue lam FT or MW even though you would be overpaying a little bit you'll still possibly get it. But it mainly depends on the person. Also on csgolounge when looking for an item you want go to "Search" Click your weapon and then find a skin you want and click it, so it should look like "Electric hive MW --> MW Redline" mainly meaning I have a MW electric hive and want a MW redline. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] heres a quick trade I found, but not sure if the guy is accepting trades. But you can add him and find out.

Sorta OT now to prevent them from saying no is offering them a good skin a skin that they would want so maybe like an AK skin, a M4A4 or a M4A1-S skin just see if there willing to do a 1:2 and if they are ask them what they want
