"And mcdonalds employees want $15+ an hour to basically do nothing"

Bruh.

Have you ever been to McDonalds? the shop kitchen area thing is normally not that big and there a lot of people running around in a small place like chickens without heads. The skill, coordination and zen like patience it takes not to kick the shit out of your co-workers or the bitchy customers deserves $15 an hour, shit give them $25 an hour.

Your job may be physically demanding but i promise you this. Working in McDonalds is no walk in the park. If you're not happy with your job leave.

LMAO are you kidding me?> Mcdonalds requires no work ethic at all. Anyone can do it. Try doing physical labor for 8 hour shifts, then compare it. Lmfao.

I disagree, i never worked at mcdonalds personally, and i work in a restauruant, and ive gotta say my job is easy, my job is to chat with people and carry food and pour some spirits, not hard quite fun, ive worked in the building trade and yeah its very hard work but if your good at it, you get paid well!, i go into mcdonalds and although there not all highly intelligent, they are sweating with hardwork!

I think high pay is deserved with either highly qualified or hard work, but i also agree that 50% of the mcdonalds employee are stupid, but the other 50% should be aiming higher tbh

I have actually done both. I worked in a scrap yard dismantling cars. Everything had to be done in a strict time limit and the shells would be crushed within minutes after you had finished removing everything useful if anything was still on the car you'd be in for a bollocking. Dinner "breaks" were pretty much non-existant.. you could run away 2 minutes for a slash but that was about it. Most of the time you'd be eating your scabby ham sammich while still working jamming along to radio 2.

I done that for close to 2 years, 6am start to 6pm finish 7 days a week. i was more than happy to get out of bed in the morning to do that all day for 7GBP an hour. After leaving that job and working in McDonalds i spent every second of every day in work wanting to blow my brains out. You are under insane amounts of stress and strict routine not including having to deal with annoying customers and arrogant pricks who think that working in a fast food restaurant makes you less of a person. I managed to last 3 months before leaving.

If you really think working in McDonalds requires low work ethic i sincerely challenge you to work there.

I don't think many McJob candidates have heard of inflation.

McDonalds and minimum wage jobs aren't meant to live off of.. Reality check, but they are meant for highschoolers who want to get into the habit and actually have extra cash to use to their liking.

It would be sad to see someone who works at McDonalds be making close to someone who went to college and has a degree. If minimum wage goes up so do your people who think they don't have to try in school, they will barely get by so they can make a living off of McDonalds..

BTW - McDonalds screws up orders half the time, they don't really deserve any more money lmfao.

Honestly, the only people that are actually pushing this are those that are working minimum wage jobs for an extended period of time. Of course everyone would want this type of pay rate, but it's completely unrealistic. Hypothetically, if it were to happen, I'm wondering what type of imbalance it would have. $15 per hour for the entire workforce of Mcdonalds would mean they would have to cut their staff per restaurant or at least reduce it. They'd probably increase the menu prices as well. Economically, this is ridiculous.

You can't expect to live off most low skill requirement jobs for the rest of your life then expect for a pay raise when it doesn't work out. It should be a temporary income.
