So im fairly happy with my PC that i built about 5 months ago, but i love upgrading it and wondering if i should add anything new (what needs replacing) Play Intense Graphic games with no problem but not sure if i should get anything else. (got high budget available)

- Sexy Case
- MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard
- i7-4790k CPU
- Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 16GB Ram
- GTX 970 Super Overclocked (considering this for upgrade?)
- 2TB HDD
- 256GB SSD

any other details needed give me a shout.

Do you feel it needs an upgrade?

What do you think could be better?

Does it get good enough fps in games for your needs?

Are you looking to do anything else with your rig other than gaming?

I was considering buying an overkill CPU due to the games i play sometimes using a mass of CPU usage like Arma/DayZ etc.. i would like more frames but its annoying having the 30/40FPS would love to get 60 in them but sometimes its not possible.

could cheaply sell my 790 and buy a new GPU

A 970 is a very strong performer in games [ as you should know ] So you can get 2 if you feel you need it.

Games like Dayz are not optimized and even the best gaming rigs will get fps drops.

The way I see it is you can either upgrade by getting another 970 or you could buy a titan and have the option of getting 2 of them at some point but basically you should only upgrade if you feel its necessary, I have a similar build to you and I was considering buying some new parts and making some upgrades so that streaming would be an easier task but it ended up cheaper buying a streaming rig separately, there are cheaper ways around most things though.

Good luck with your decision

Definitely do it. SLI Titan X's, why not? I hope you're playing at 4k with SLI Titan X's though. Otherwise, they're wasted GPU power and $2k wasted.

At the rate that technology is advancing, SLI Titan X's will be well out of date in 4/5 years time and then its upgrade time again.

Stick with SLI 970's IMO but thats if your going to use the horses. You might not need anything, you proabably dont.
