Im building a pc for my mom and im trying to decide weather to go with amd or intel for the apu, my budget is $300-$350.
shes just going to be surfing the web and checking emails and doing research, so im not going to spend over $400 on it.
so my question is intel Pentium G3258 or amd a6 6400k for fastest speed boot up times with an ssd
I already have an ssd and a cpu cooler(to keep it quiet)
does any one know which one runs cooler for lowest fan rpm?
its a small form factor build btw

What? You have an SSD and cooler? What SSD and cooler have you got? Small form factor? Mini-ITX or will Micro-ATX be small enough? Do you already have a case? If she's not gaming, the APU wouldn't make sense and an Intel CPU is probably going to perform better. Need to know exactly what you need for the $350 though?

ssd: Samsung 840 evo 120gb(have)
cpu cooler: cooler master hyper 212 evo w/ noctua nf-f12 or passive(have)
case: Mini-ITX(need)
what budget case would fit that cooler?
motherboard: preferably asus(need)
cpu: intel Pentium g3258(need)
ram: 4gb(need)
psu: one with passive airflow or with fan does not spin when at idle
