If it canceled itself, your payment method has some wrong details or is invalid.

I can confirm it still works, I just done this and got my code straight after I confirmed the purchase.

Only thing I can think of is that your payment option was refused. Might be due to insufficient funds. Although another member just said it worked and his bank is near empty. Weird!
