Get an Xbox one, I have an Xbox one and it's pretty good the graphics are amazing and if you have gold one account then the rest of the accounts on the console have gold.

PS4? Nah that thing sucks

if it was me I would just buy whatever most of my friends have so I can play with them

And here comes another console war.. It is completely dependent on what YOU want. You want good gaming experience? Probably go for the PS4 You want a good entertainment system that plays games? go for the Xbox one.

This will always be a nothing more than an opinion. I've played 360 for 4 years and went to PS4 and haven't looked back, I have played the Xbone and disliked it. That does not mean it's bad, I just didn't feel it was the console for me.
Both have their ups and downs.
A few things that might help, though.
Entertainment system? Xbox. Has ads everywhere for movies and games to buy so if that's what you want, get that.

Gaming system? PS4. There is literally no ads on the PS4 dashboard it's just the games you have and your friends list and all the same as xbox apart from the fact that it isn't shoved in your face.

Cheaper to continually use? PS4 has cheaper subscriptions to play online, so if you're strapped for cash... PS4.

Doubt anyone can argue that the xbox is an ugly brick of a console.

PS4 has better performance (tested and proved, not my opinion)

Things like controller, all personal preference.

One thing I have noticed is that on Xbox you have to download all your games to the console before you can play it which can take a while.
PS4 is the same, but takes around 30 seconds not 10 minutes.
Little things make a big difference in total.
I am obviously in favour of the PS4 hence why I am pointing the superiority of it. I don't own an xbone, so I can't give you a full break down of both pros and cons.

Got friends on the xbox and want to play with them get that, same with PS4.
Don't have friends? who cares, make your own decision.

Both consoles are good, i own Xbox One and a PC.

PC is best performance but it just doesn't have the feel of a console. i prefer console gaming any day.

PS4 and Xbox One are basically the same thing, some have more features than the other, different controllers. but to be honest. its just personal preference what matters.

For me a lot of it comes down to what my friends own. In my opinion there's no use in having the better console if I cant play with my friends. Unless you don't mind playing on your own I guess. In such case it doesn't really matter as they are more or less the same..

The ps4 is awesome ! Haven't tryed the xbone yet :p
