Simple rant.
Australians pay $100 for AAA titles/big brands
Americans pay $60.
Stop complaining - an Australian.

Part of the reason you pay more in Australia for games is that your money is worth more than USD over here is.

Secondly, people get paid more there so people can afford to pay more for things. Prices are set equally all over. You are not really paying more for games, because you have more money being made there on average than here. Also, anyone who wants to complain can. This isn't a region locked forum.

Microsoft make the price equal to where you live and they take in mind the currencys, everyone pays the same for the game + Australia has a lot more money being made

If you you adjust the price difference between the two currencies, Australians still pay $30ish more.
That's because the availability of it.
Same reason why everything in Hawaii and Alaska cost so much more compared to the lower 48.

Well actually games in Australia are cheaper. In Australia we make more money per hour. Because we earn more per hour than Americans we actually have to work less. There is an infographic explaining this but I can't find it.
It was something like Australians have to work 6 hours to buy a full priced games where Americans have to work 8 hours on average using minimum wage.
You read the conversion wrong. 1 USD buys 1.24 AUD so our money is actually worth less.
