1080p ultrawide, nice. I was thinking about getting one myself. This one instead though;

Same panel with built in speakers for a little less. The only thing that puts me off the ultrawide is that it will have massive black bars on either side if the game you are playing doesn't support ultrawide resolutions. Also, on the internet, there will be masses of nothing on either side for the most part, which can be annoying.

Way too big for my liking. I tend to stick around 18" or 22" and at-least 1-3ms response time. That's if you plan on gaming on it.

if its for gaming i mostly go of response time i have Philips 227E 2ms response time but if you are looking for something to just browse on i'd go for that! looks nice with the ultra widescreen.

Response time is pretty much irrelevant^
op: Pretty much what sanctyy said it can be a pain when it comes to games supported resolutions.
Its an IPS panel so that's good, you may want to take note of this which was a comment.

Personally I wouldn't bother with ultrawide and go for a standard 1920x1080 or even a 1440p monitor if you can afford it.

If i had to choose between a 1ms response time TN panel monitor or a 7ms Response time IPS panel monitor i would choose the IPS every day.
anything under around 8ms you won't tell the difference.

It's entirely irrelevant. The quality of the monitor makes more of a difference than the response time. r00t knows more about monitors, it's worth talking to him about how response time should be ignored when buying a monitor. I'm pretty sure it's something about how these "1ms super fast" monitors are just as 'slow' as 5ms response time monitors. A lot of 1ms or 2ms resposne time panels are TN anyway and terrible quality so lol, enjoy your "super fast" response times but shitty viewing angles and colours

They're not "waste's of time". The black bars can be annoying, yes, but some people can live with them. The black bars only appear in games that don't support 2560x1080 resolution anyway. Ultrawides can be fantastic for games that support them, and for movies.
