Honestly, this is not a smart thread at all. I dont think the government would set up a "fake" school shooting and kill kids. It just doesnt add up. Especially for gun control.

Gun control has taken no leaps forward after Sandy Hook.
If it was a false flag, they did a piss poor job.

The only solid proof of false flag attempts to further gun control were the released emails regarding the ATF's Fast and Furious operation where they talked about being able to use the inflated gun violence statistics from the results of their gun walking program.

This wasn't the first school shooting. People went crazy after Columbine and others as well, and nothing came of it.
Why would they bother trying a method which has already failed to ignite enough outrage?

The question should be: "After Sandy Hook is there anything else that could happen which would make pro-gun advocates drop their stance?"

I don't know if you can realistically get much worse than the deaths of 20 children.

I don't think for a second that Sandy Hook was a setup, but it wouldn't be hard to make a case for this kid being manipulated by a third party into doing this.

Terrorist organizations use manipulation like that all the time.
