So I just finished setting up my first ever computer build and my monitor is saying check signal cable. (I'm currently plugged into the mobo because I don't a mini hdmi atm.) I tried using my old VGA cable and same result everything seems to be plugged in properly and I just want to get this computer set up thanks

You can not use the motherboards outputs unless your using integrated graphics.
