Try to get good with spray control

Don't blindly peak corners. I can't say that enough. Also make sure to tap on weapons like the AK and M4, don't go all call of duty full automatic on it.

This might only apply to you if you're gonna play matchmaking alot

1.Get to know the map you play most often - Once you've gained enough experience, just pre-aim common spots where you been killed from alot. Crosshair placement is key.

2. Learn recoil patterns - If you know the spray patterns of guns somewhat, you're basically golden. Learning how to control recoil is VERY crucial in CSGO.
Heres a workshop map where you can practice recoil

3. Queue with friends often - If you have friends similar skill ranked as you, play with them! This is important because early on in the game you'll just come across the worst teammates of your life. Queuing with friends makes it funner and more enjoyable to play.

4. Demos - If you want to improve at a faster rate, watch pro games and just watch how they play and basically try to mock what they do. Pro games can teach you so much about basics and just all kinds of things. There is always something new to learn when watching demos of pros.

Hopefully this helped out

1. LEARN the recoil patterns of most guns before jumping in to competitive.
2. Play casual before playing competitive that way u will learn most of the maps and their meeting spots etc.
3. DONT queue with friends before u have won 10 games on ur own. That way u will get the rank u deserve and not something ur friends are since those rank opponents will only get on the other team.
4. Have the RIGHT sensitivity!!! Probably the most important thing on the list. U want to have ur sensitivity so that u can snap on to people using ur hand only, and to move around corners use ur whole wrist.
5. Practice, practice, practice. NEVER jump straight into a competitive match without warming up. I personally play aim_botz for about 5 minutes then go 64 tick dm for about 10 minutes or when i start to hit 1 taps 80/90% of the time.
6. Play on 4:3 resolution stretched, this will make the models wider and help u play significatly.
7. U will want to start off by playing with a dynamic crosshair to get a feel when u should be shooting, when the crosshair is in normal place shoot, NEVER shoot the ak or m4 while moving it just doesnt make sence since all the bullets will just fly everywhere.
8. Focus on trying to get those headshots, its better to aim slightly slower to the opponents head than to snap on to there body since the ak is a one tap headshot m4 is 2 but if u hit one i can just shoot somewhere and they die.
Those are just my tips, i have loads of more but heres some of the basics and sorry if my english is bad im currently dmg but i dont play that often.
