It's not just about the death of one man though.
It's the result of a build up of police brutality and racial profiling to them.

I don't think it's an overreaction, and I think it's strange how people are caring more about the broken windows and burning cars than the deaths of people killed by police brutality.


I feel, if a black cop had killed an unarmed white civilian, the event would receive no media coverage, nor would their be mass protest from the white community of the area where the event took place.

Whites don't have a history of racial oppression in America.
Something like that should receive media coverage but the media have to be able to tie it in with something, and that something is either that it was a racist killing, or that it led to riots.

Also, there is a hypocrisy in the media about black riots anyway.
Kentucky basketball fans [majority white] rioted and even started chanting, 'f the police' but did the media make a huge story about that? Of course not.
