Since you dont want to overclock the xeon is a better cheaper option. The ssd will really speed up your load times of applications, e.g photoshop. 250gb capacity to give you more room to store your work while your working on it, then you could just copy it over to the hard drive once your done with it.

8gb is plenty, If you start to find your using up 100% of your ram you could buy another 8gb. Dont cheap out on other componets just to get more ram.

Similar to BlackMyst's rig but $90 cheaper which will perform around the same for your needs. OP said he wants to render, no need for a high end GPU.
It also has 16GB of ram.

Thanks ill check it out. I think i rather just pay the extra 50 and get the i7 for the future if i do decide to overclock.

Do not forget to buy a aftermarket cooler for the i7 before you overclock it, If you do get the i7 make sures its the 4790k. The k basically means its a unlocked cpu that can be overclocked.

You'd also need to get a board that supports Overclock so a Z97/Z87 Board

Paying the extra £50 for a locked i7, because you may want to overclock makes no sense, since, it's locked. You can't overclock it. You need a K skew i7 to overclock, and you'd need a Z series chipset motherboard, as well as decent aftermarket cooling. It's more than likely $100+ of wasted money in your case.

$850 for the PC, and you never specified a budget for peripherals so I've included a 1080p monitor and decent kb/mouse;
