I've respectfully refused to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance for the past 8 years. Most teachers respect my decision, but I love when a teacher thinks that they know everything, and try to discipline me. The administration always was on my side, forcing to teacher to apologize to me. It happens rarely, but I enjoy it. I only got in trouble once, for 'respecting the teacher', but what can I say, I have a cocky attitude. I only got a 2 hour detention, which I reduced to 15 minutes for being respectful to the secretary.

If I'm honest I'd rather come across as someone with a 'cocky attitude' as opposed to a sheep that cannot stand up to authority. It pains me that most teachers show little respect to their students but expect the utmost respect back.

"Because they can" is the point, they have a higher authority than the student. So the teacher can tell them what to do. If the student has a problem get someone that has a higher authority than the teacher.

Just yesterday in my workplace, there was a confrontation between a pre-loader and supervisor. The supervisor was out of line with the ordeal (I don't know the details). The pre-loader went to the district manager after work and got the supervisor suspended for a week.

In the case of the Student/Teacher relationship, it does not matter. Just sit there and do the work that is placed by you from the teacher.
And let the teacher do the work that they are paid to do.

But also you have to realize that teachers are just human, they are just as messed up as everyone else in the world. They are coked up and just being the normal person on the side of the street.

I know how you feel. I had candy spray (the sour stuff in the bottle thingy) and apparently since I ripped off the label because I was going to trick people and say it was sweet my teacher came over and ripped it out of my hands and said it was 'meth in a bottle'. she kept saying I had drugs but I didn't. It's annoying how teachers treat students. I told her to test it and she sprayed some on her hand and smelled it and then she knew it wasn't drugs and I got my candy back.

You'd bode well knowing a teacher is more experienced in life than yourself, they are older, they are your teacher. Hierachy is key, as when you are older our workplace will go via Hierachy.

Plus, most schools have a religious base which in my opinion is pathetic but if you are using the lords name in vain in a school as such then you are breaking their rules... Possibly show distaste silence, and get on with what they tell you to do. School will be much simpler.

My teacher used to treat me like i was a retard until i hit him with a chair.

After that he never looked at me like i was a piece of shit on his shoe and started treating me as an equal.

I'm not saying hit your teacher with a chair i had to get anger management after it.

I once in high school year 7 had a detention for quietly yawning to myself at 9AM on a Monday morning.

That was when i stopped giving a hell what they thought, like what the bloody hell?

Population wrote I'm sure that there have been 100s of rants about teachers and what have you but nonetheless I'm still feeling pretty annoyed.

Basically I said 'Jesus Christ' out of frustration and I got in a lot of trouble for it. It didn't matter to the teachers that I didn't say it with the intention of hurting someone's feelings, All that mattered was that I'm a child and they are the all powerful adults that are never wrong.

This probably doesn't even make sense to a lot of people but I'm still pretty pissed about the whole thing that happened and I felt like getting it out there.

TL;DR teachers that treat students like crap because they can.

This is about dumb as when I got suspended for walking on the grass

I feel you teachers always think there right but not all the time
