Okay so when ever I install the drivers for my GPU and then restart, my screen on boot and on desktop will start to flash loads of colourful colours. So then I un-install the drivers and it stops. Does anyone know how I could fix this? Do I need the drivers to run games

Yes, you need the drivers to run games. What card do you have, Is this a new card or did the problem recently start.

What powersupply do you have?
Have you tried using another output?

You can do anything with it other than use it as a place mat.
