Sanctyy wrote So you're looking for a new rig? What components do you already have that you'll be using in it? What will the 2nd PC be used for? Do you need peripherals for it? What is your budget for the components needed for the 2nd PC?

I basically need all the parts but a few of the parts I'll be upgrading my main build like with the Memory, Case, Psu, and the Graphics card.

No peripherals. I have a budget for the individual parts on the topic. Not sure the total cost tbh.

The part list for my current build is in my topic as well.

You need to clarify the components that you're re-using. Your OT just looks like a huge jumble of words. If you have a budget for each individual component, add them up and you'll have a total budget. Pretty simple. You don't set a budget for individual components, that's stupid.

Am I reading it right that you already have an Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor and you want to "upgrade" to an i3? That seems like a downgrade to me :3

Not upgrading just building a separate computer for my Dad's house.

I'm going to reformat the topic so it makes more sense.

Well the case is my current favourite and is what im using. It has two compartments, on the right side your power supply, hard drives and all your ugly cables, nice and hidden. Then on the window side you have all your lovely components to show off.

The g2 is a very good option and the 290 is the best you will be able to get for $250.

The air 540 is a case that i will rebuild into because of how easy it is and how much room it has. I have actually spray painted mine and got some fancy leds

I like that case a lot but i don't have enough room on my desk for it.

Also do you have this graphics card yourself?

Okay, so you have $500 for GPU, PSU and case upgrade then. No need to buy another kit of 2x4GB RAM for your rig since you already have some. What motherboard do you have in your current rig? What is your budget for the components for the 2nd rig?

My bad. Thought I had it on that Build. I updated it.

My budget for the new rig is no more than $400 since I'm going to be reusing some of the parts.

Alright, so $900 total to work with for upgrades to your current system. The rest is for whatever components are left needed for a 2nd rig.

Could simply do that. Add an HDD as well to the 2nd rig if you wish. GTX 970 and 550W Gold PSU for your current rig, re-use your 750Ti and 430W Antec unit for the 2nd rig. Maybe add a nice cooler to both rigs, can get something nice for $30-$50 that'll perform considerably better than stock cooling.
