I think homework is needed for some people to help them understand the information. If there was no HW some people would fail because they just don't understand what is being taught.

I think HW should be optional. If you understand the topic you shouldnt have to waste your time on it but if you need to do it to understand the topic then do it.

It should basicly be extra credit. I hate doing homework because I ussually know what I'm doing but I would defiantly do it even if I knew how to do it and it was extra credit.

Whilst you may believe homework to be a waste of time, I can assure you it is not. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying for past experiences when sitting down to do something and thinking urgh, is it really necessary for me to do this. Yes, I have on countless occasions. However, homework provides you with the support and correct skills that will further benefit your life. For example, you never know when you may need some math, if you go into, banking, stockbroking or anything like that, you simply never know.

Spending extra time on work at home is unbelievable beneficial. Ask yourself the question, if work was never set, what would your grades look like? I know grades are not everything life, and I don't for one second believe a letter of number defines who you are or your intelligence for that matter. Im saying, with the purpose of school (to educate) it is very important to gain all round skills as you'll know you have many important exams coming up and them people that go that extra mile separates and stands out massively from those who do the bare minimum.

Sometimes, the worst things are the things that help us grow. Nothing worth having, comes easy. Put the hard work in now, and things will become a whole lot easier for you.

But on a serious note, homework is to help understand what the teacher taught. Without homework you wouldn't really grasp on what he or she taught. Please do your homework.

Homework is supposed to let you and the teacher know what you and the class need extra work on.

If you don't do it, it just hurts you.

Extra hour. That's what happened to me when I didn't do homework at school I got a 1 hour detention and they were more boing than doing homework
