If you ever heard about the people that lived in a glass biosphere for 2 years you would know what I am talking about. In 1991 some people were put into a glass biosphere with artificial environments and and beginning necessities to help them survive within there.

I don't think it'll happen for a while either I mean it's not like we need it enough to progress with it soon in the future, there's still a long time before we would NEED to start investing in life on other planets. There is still a lot of resources and land left on Earth.

Both of the Biosphere experiments were complete fails that didn't work.
They let injured people leave it and then return back inside, which renders the entire experiment useless.

I think if population becomes a issue, the government(s) already have a plan. Let's say that population hit: 10 Billion,we would have more consumption problems, more health problems, and probably more employment problems.

Sure this world can fit a-lot of people, but that would require more deforestation, which I'm against, and it would just add on more problems than we have already.

We need to keep this process: Out with the old, in with the new. Depopulation by Governments looks like a go to me. And I can see why they'd do it. If they release a cure for all types of cancer, the population would rise significantly. They need to keep the world on a steady population control per say.

Living on other planets doesn't look or feel necessary unless for research.

I'm not sure if it will be viable in our time.
Considering that we have only made small progress in terms of space travel, distant planets will not be feasible unless a scientific break through is discovered that will allow for speed of light travel.

Now it's also important to know that even on earth we are not able to create a biosphere that is fully self sustaining.

Even if we did figure out speed of light travel we would still have to wait the 1000s of years before the people reached other galaxies. It wouldn't be in our life time.

In the Uk They made one that can grow anything its called the eden project or something look it up

We have the technology now.. but do we have the time? how will humans survive long enough on another planet to create its atmosphere? In order to make Mars a habitable planet we need to get rid of most of the greenhouse gasses. and get rid of all of the CO2 in the martian atmosphere. Than create an ozone layer (O3) and much more. than we can start to add producers like Fungus, Algae, and more plant decomposers, and to keep the biosphere stable we would need everything else like Primary Consumer, Secondary Consumer, and Tertiary consumer. the soil will need to be enriched from oxygen. There are many obstacles to go through before the planet is even habitable. but is it possible? yes, but not right now
