I used to game on my monitor and liked it, I would still do it but have no idea how to get the audio from my Xbox One so I just use my HDTV. The only upside to using a HDTV is that when you watch movies it's a lot better.

Monitors typically have a better response time and better colors, so games will be faster and more beautiful. I recommend 20"-24" monitor.

Here is a decent cheap IPS panel

Are you using a console or a PC to game on because if you're using a console then there's no real need for a 4K monitor as consoles cant natively output at 4K resolution.

Well for starters you picked a 4k res screen and for that size vs price you're better off getting a 55" tv. stick with the 2-300$ range with 1-2ms response time.
