i will plus rep whoever gives the most helpful answer, my computer has been making a horrible noise i personally thought something was stuck in the fan but when i unplugged the hard drive the noise stopped is there any way to fix this?

If it's a clicky sound then not really much you can do.
All mechanical HDD's will have it at some point.

The noise could just the hard drive booting up when it gets used, that is if it's your secondary drive.
If not then it could be a sign that the HDD is starting to fail.

A HDD making any unusual noise such as clicking or grinding is usually a sign of it dying. Backup everything you want to keep on it and replace it. If the drive is under warranty then you will want to get a replacement through that. If not when it fails take it out of your PC smash it in with a hammer and dump it in the bin.
