I haven't bought it yet but I just want to check with some peeps to see if this build is solid for the price and if it works or what not. Thanks!

no no no no, The cpu is old, outdated, on a dead socket and is outperformed by the i3. That build could run of a 450w so the 750 is just overkill and unnecessary. you can get a 280 cheaper than that 270x...

$10 cheaper and performs much better.

Yeah the PSU makes sense. I'm not getting an intel. Too expensive. I'll check through the 280s here now

What do you mean your not getting an intel? that pc is cheaper than the amd build you put and out performs it by alot. The amd cpu is a waste of money.

I'm going to disregard your question for a sec here and ask what makes that Intel one more powerful? The socket? (I'm not trying to be a dick I'm just trying to learn)

First thing to note is you can not compare amd and intel processors buy the amount of ghz it has or the amount of cores. Its like trying to compare a car with 200hp to a motorcyle with 150hp. The motorcycle has less hp but is able to use its power much more effectively and is faster.

Intels processors have a much stronger architecture, Their cpus have much better per core performance and because of this an i5 with only 3.2ghz can easily outperform a 6 core 4ghz amd cpu because its able to use its use its power much more effectively.

I would highly recommend you go with the i5 4460.

I am sure someone else with be here to add to what ive said.

The Haswell architecture is much stronger than any of the architecture's used on AMD's AM3 and AM3+ socket. Any Z97, and the majority(if not, all) H97 motherboard will support a Broadwell CPU upgrade, so a Haswell i3 now could mean upgrading to a Broadwell i5/i7/Xeon should be easy enough which will be a nice little performance boost should you need it. AM3+ is a dead socket. The i3-4150 out-performs the FX-8320 in gaming, and the i5-4440 will even out-perform the 8320 in editing/rendering tasks sometimes due to it's stronger architecture. With a 6300, you're only logical upgrade without a motherboard upgrade would be an 8320, and as I said, i3 would be better for gaming anyway.

Could do this;

Pretty much BlackMyst's suggestion with a larger SSD. The Fury is a better SSD than the V300, but I'd personally hate to have less than 240GB of SSD capacity.

Otherwise;

Cheaper than the poo AM3+ rig. 850-EVO is a great SSD, better than the Fury and V300. Up to you if you'd prefer more SSD capacity, or a better SSD with less storage.
