Hey folks, I'm interested in getting a gaming laptop as I'm a bit all over the shop lately. So I was wondering what's the best brand to go for? Or if you have any ideas for the actual model let me know! I'd prefer something for under 1000. Doesn't have to be top end spec. But something capable of video editing, gaming such as CS: GO or other games on lower settings. Portability is a big thing as well, but battery life is nothing to worrying. I was thinking MSI... But I'll leave you all to give your own opinions haha.

So anyways let me know what you all think!

I have an Asus ROG g750jm its like 1300$ I believe they have a 15in version for around 100$, and it works good. Doesn't perform as good as an 800$ desktop but gets the job done.

My friend also has a MSI GP60 for like 800$ which works good he can play games on high settings and what not.

For portability I would not go with the ASUS ROG because they are wider than most laptops because off cooling fans on the back. I have the 17in version and it doesn't fit in some backpacks lol.

If you look around for other laptops just make sure it has an dedicated graphics card not integrated.

Cheers for the advice! I think I may go for an MSI then. Just listen to what a few other people have to say then I'll make a decision haha

If you can go for a desktop you will get a better everything for your money, but if you're set on a laptop look at Alien or try on websites that have specific sections for gaming laptops as that is quite common.
