Whilst both are awful, I would have to say the Twilight author.

At least Twilight has a lot of people on both sides of the fence; some people think Twilight is amazing whilst others hate it.
Nickelback are pretty much known for being "Nickelback"-y. They aren't awful, but are like an average of all of that kind of music put together, it's just bad.
