So recently I decided to clean my PC by taking everything out, wiping it down etc. As I was reassembling my components I noticed that 1 of the pins on the MOBO socket was bent. So I bent it upwards so it would at least come in contact with the CPU. I turned my PC on and it seemed to be fine.I started CSGO up and noticed at the main menu i was getting around 110-115 FPS. I then went into a game and noticed I was getting 30-50 FPS, sometimes it would barely reach 60 then go back down. I want to know if it is the CPU or the Motherboard.
Specs
CPU- i5-4460 @ 3.20 GHz
Mobo- Gigabyte B85M-DS3H
GPU- XFX R7 265
RAM- 4gb of Elite Build ram
HDD- Seagate 1TB
I'd also like to note that I put another CPU in just to make sure that it wasn't my i5, and i was getting worse performance, so i am assuming it isn't the CPU. But I wanted to check with you guys to be sure. Any feedback would be appreciated, Thanks!

The CPU wouldn't affect your FPS that much... So it's not the CPU.

From the "extensive" google searching i have down, i have seen that cs:go is more cpu intensive than gpu ( still requires decent gpu ). Also OP what do you mean by you bent a pin back so it would touch the CPU, do you mean the CPU socket pins? Can you show a picture?

Yes, one of the CPU socket pins. It is straight now so It looks like the other pins. But I have also noticed that my computers performance in general has gone down. Loading things slower and such. I'm also doing research.

Alright, so should I send it back to the manufacturer or just buy a new one?

If it's still under warranty, just send it back.
No point in forking out additional money for a new motherboard if a replacement will work perfectly fine.
