So my sophomore year in high school I was cursed with my parents using MY money on a 2006 honda civic LX, well great news! I have been saving for one of my favorite cars out there right now! I am going to trade in then put all money on the table for a Hyundai genesis coupe 2.0L Turbo R-Spec making a stock 275hp with the factory economy tune. I am beyond excited for this wonderful upgrade! Ill keep you all updated! I have so much planned for this car!

16k from a kid? You will wreck it, why not get a beat up piece of crap you don't mind when someone dings your door?
Ah, I guess it's better for people like me because we will be buying it used from you for 3k in 10 years lol.
EDIT: Also looks like a sketchy place to be buying a car from if that's the car / place you are buying from ll.

Too bad they can decide to total it out and give you next to nothing lol. That's how my brother ended up with a 2013 mustang for only 11k, because someone wrecked and insurance totaled it.

You have no idea how insurance works do you? When the vehicle is totaled out, insurance sends you a check.
Also, not every kid drives like an idiot and treats their car like shit.
Not everyone gets door dinged either lol.
I turned 18 and bought my M3.
I'm 20 now. Perfect condition still.

Insurance does not send you enough to fix the vehicle. They send you what the vehicle is worth, they essentially buy the vehicle and you have the option to buy it back for a small price. If you do buy it, it will have a salvage title. If you fix it up and it passes inspection it will have a rebuilt title which lowers the price A LOT, also makes it a lot harder to sell. My uncle is currently going through this process, and my parents have done this a few time.
I never said every kid drives like an idiot, just because you are a perfect driver doesn't mean I am.
I don't see any perfectly straight body cars around here, I would say 99% of people have door dings. The 1% that don't, don't go to parking lots.
I'm sure I could find something bad on your car.
Not trying to be an ass, that is just the reality I see every day.

Probably couldn't. My car is meticulously well maintained lol.
Regardless, you can easily dispute what insurance will try and send you.
That's the fun part.
