why are we still using medieval terms that don't even logically exist to try and define the times we live in today?

Thats my thought on the subject

People are essentially arguing over semantics.
When people talk about Chivalry today they don't mean the entire social, moral and ethical code that Knights followed.
They mean respect and courteousness [especially towards women.]

When people argue against this phrase they are arguing against the entire definition of Chivalry, which can suggest that the male is above the female, which leads to misunderstanding. People should simply call it respect or courteousness, rather than a term which is being misunderstood. It's much simpler.

Personally, I think these feminists who argue against the phrase 'Chivalrous' need to find something better to do with their time, like trying to prevent the genital mutilation of women in the Middle East.
