Nope. Terrible.

Actual decent quality case and PSU which you won't get with a pre-built. Better CPU and most likely a better mobo. SSD for your OS too so fast boot times.

That one still needs an os and it has 1TB less of storage, plus it's missing the other features like the optical drives and stuff. Don't you think this build is atleast decent?

No, it's not. You can get your OS for free and don't need an optical drive.

You can't legitimately get windows mate for free which I'm sure is what he'll need. In relation to OP i think this build is relatively good for the price. I personally recommend getting pre-built PCs if you're not sure on what you're doing. It's easy to build a PC. But to troubleshoot and repair it isn't... and if something breaks most PC builder's have their own warranty rather than having to deal with suppliers themselves with the parts that you got.

2) ALL PRE BUILT PC'S ARE SHITE and a waste of money, as for your 2nd statement, if the user can build a PC, he can google what is wrong if it ever does go wrong and find the answer that he needs to fix it.

It really isn't difficult to build a PC.
It is pretty much just advanced lego. Everything can only go in one slot.

If you are really uncertain, watch a few YouTube videos on people building computers and you will get the idea of what belongs where.

Explain how they are 'shite' ? Granted most are. I build my own PCs. I built my partners. But see when a part breaks. I've got to deal with sending it back to suppliers and waiting for replacements. The build that he's linked isn't much more expensive than what you can build yourself and if he has an issue he can send the PC back and let them deal with warranty and testing for faults. And if you have problems sometime it's not as easy as 'google the issue' as sometimes you see the wrong post and end up damaging the pc more because you don't know what you're doing. And if your windows 7 is genuine then you've purchased or been given a key or cracked it. It's easy to download tools to make windows think it's genuine mate..
