Hey

yesterday i completed building my first pc, and I've just finished downloading all programs etc.

I downloaded MSI Afterburner for my gtx 970 card to control my fans on my 970.

MSI : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Fan curve MSI : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I have the msi fan control on auto, but when i boot my comp the fans on my 970 does not start until i open MSI afterburner.
Why is it like that? I want it to auto use the fans even when I start my comp..
If anyone have any idea why its like this please explain to me why. thanks!

Most 970's have hybrid fans meaning that they dont run untill they get to a certain temperature. When you run MSI afterburner, your overwriting that so the fans kick in.

Yeah I read that before but I thought you could skip that part and let the fans run auto all the time

Thanks !

There's really no card this wouldn't apply to. All the "hybrid fan control" or w/e it's being advertised as is just a fan curve that starts at zero.
