I installed a graphics optimisation driver for Heroes of the Storm. I noticed after a restart that it took a while to boot so i uninstalled the driver and now it's still slow. It's getting slower if anything.

What happens is after it says "Welcome" on boot up, it sits there for a good few minutes before it is usable. Everything loads on my desktop and my programs load, but my internet connection has the "searching" icon over the screen or whatever it is.. it's only usable once it's connected. (i've tried the network drivers)

I've reinstalled all motherboard drivers and i've checked windows update and still nothing.

I've used Ccleaner and i've scanned for virus' ... nothing there.

Anything else i can do?

It's driving me insane.

If you have nothing to lose, i would re install windows. My PC was quite slow, after doing this a few months ago, my PC had gotten a lot more faster in terms of boot up speed.

If you are going to reinstall the os, install it in AHCI mode instead of IDE.

This gave me a small performance boost on my SSD and is better to use anyway.

Just a little tip.

Thanks, I'm already on AHCI mode anyway. It defaulted at that.

I'll reinstall tomorrow

I managed to fix it.

I uninstalled my GPU and switched to the onboard graphics. After the updates it worked fine..

I put my graphics card back in to my PC and my pc is booting within 30 seconds again.

Good stuff.

You can also have a look at my tutorial about how to use MSConfig which should allow your PC to boot even quicker.
