There is no 'best' anti virus it depends on what your PC specs are also take a look at the statistics before making a choice, also you haven't made it clear whether you wanted paid or free. If you are looking for a paid solution I would personally recommend ESET or Kaspersky.

Best one I have ever used and the only one I have ever used is Avast. It has everything you need, I don't plan on changing anytime soon. Stuck with Avast since my first ever computer.

Phew wrote Just bought a new computer and my last computer had Norton on it. Don't really want that one again. Anyone got any good anti-virus software(s)?
Thanksssssssssssss
If you looking to protect you're PC with still it's highest performence than I highly suggest you use:
* BitDefender 2015 Internet Security
* Blancco Computer Data Eraser
* IPVanish VPN
* Adblock Plus
And also create a whole new Online Identity just to be sure that you are security if the email has been used on multiple different websites with personal Information in It like Name, age or other infomation ... Lol xD

The combination I use is Avast and Malwarebytes.
I also use CCleaner to keep junk files off my PC and improve a bit of performance.

Man its weird how no one uses Windows defender, I have used it for 3 years with a combo of malwarebytes and ccleaner and never get viruses, and when I do, it gets cleaned right away,and I download tons of torrents and other unhealthy items when Im needing to use a tool or program bad.
