I have a GTX 970 that has been running fine on my PSU for about a week and just today it has stopped working. It displays a white LED when off but as soon as I go to boot, it goes straight to a red led. Anyone got advice?

I'm sure the manufacture has a diagnostic software you could use. If you psu is modular you could try different 6 pin cables or try a different psu altogether.
Try making sure everything is seated properly and all connections & cables are pushed in.
Can you give us more info on your machine?
