I would go with iOS. The Android app store has many security flaws whereas the iOS app store does not.

IoS much better, easier, smoother, stable and more security along with a bigger company that fixes errors quickly

If you want better hardware then go Android, if you want better software go Apple. Remember that if you like customizing then their are jailbreaks for iOS which allow you to do almost everything an android can do. I say go with the one you had the longest.

As an Android user this is completely false. In reality, the Google Play store is pretty secure, and you'll have no problem downloading the apps you want. As long as you don't download the 1 star apps that have 5 downloads, you'll be fine.

I might be biased because I have an Android phone (but so are all the people commenting that just have iPhones), but if you like to customize your phone, and enjoy the cheaper price, more flexibility and more features Android phones give you when compared to iPhones, I think Android is the safe choice.

One last misconception I'd like to clear up - top end Android phones (Galaxy S6, HTC One M8, LG G4 etc) are just as fast as the comparable iPhone now. Google has solved the lag problem, even my Nexus 5 is lag free. You'll be getting a smooth experience on Android like you would on iOS.
