So I have just finished my first year studying Games Technology and development and have 2 months off with nothing to do. So to kill time I am considering making tutorials on how to make a game, from scratch, using professional software.

What you would learn

- C++ programming language
- model design using various modelling programs
- Level design
- Many other important aspects such as networking a game and promotional advice

If your interested leave a comment below or vote for yes on the poll

I am also thinking of designing a website that would be full of resources for you guys to use. It would have eBooks and various links to other tutorials that could help you and open source websites that I have used to get models from and other useful content.

I would defiantly read some of the tutorials you'd post, it's something I'm pretty interested in and have been thinking about choosing it to go into college with.

The only problem I see with this is that you need specific licenses for the modelling programs (Assuming you are using Max/Maya).

You would be able to get Visual Studio, Unreal Engine 4/Unity 5 for free though.

Might as well make some tutorials, post them in the Programming Forum though.

True, however I would most likely use some alternatives to those. I would mostly be using Unreal engine and Visual studio as that is easy for people to get.
