WCDT wrote I am sick of all the flaming that goes on in this section. It is not Europe vs Japan vs America. We are all TTG users who also enjoy cars and if I continue to see this I will be issuing bans and warnings.

That being said, sounds like the dreaded ringland takes out another EJ motor. Were you running an AOS I hear that is very helpful for oil blow by. I check my oil every week while getting gas to keep tabs on my oil levels. Not likely you will be covered by warranty if that is the issue due to the extensive mods done unless you have a dealer that will work with you so guess it might be time to go forged internals and crank the boost.

Sadly, I'm not running an AOS. Car is going in tomorrow and they already made it sounds like they don't want to warranty it. My oil level has been constant so I don't know if it's going to be that. But I'll find out tomorrow. Probably going to do it right and run cosworth forged internals and then out of college I'll start pushing them more with fuel management and a turbo.

As much as I did beat on the car, it wasn't fully my fault. This isnt a rare problem. People with only 5k have blown subaru motors babying them. Heck, I heard of a story where a guy was test driving a brand new WRX and during the test drive, it spun a bearing. This problem is actually quit common and happens usually anywhere between 8k miles and 20k miles. A buddy of mine has beat on his WRX probably the same as me and hes at 40k miles with no hiccups at all. The blown ringland is a very common problem. They more concerned with the mods right now. The sent the "Modded Warranty Request Form" to Subaru headquarters to make a decision.

Cold air intake, catted downpipe, catted exhaust, uppipe? Stupid mods? Know where near enough to blow an engine. Especially with the tune I ran. Please educate yourself before posting. Thank you
