Win10. I'd take Win8.1 over Win7. I started with Win7 on my gaming rig, but installed Win8.1 a week later, and recently upgraded from 8.1 to Win10. Some older games don't like to run on new OS', but you can usually tweak something or get them to work somehow. Different for different games.

Windows 10.

Imagine if 7 + 8.1 had some OS sex, 10 would be the outcome.

Its still in its tech preview untill July 29th

Without knowing what "old" pc games you want to play, im not sure if you can or cannot play them

I was using Win10 for a while and loved it. Till games started to not be compatible and some programs not even launching.

So 8.1 for me until the full release!

Nvidia has brought out a Windows 10 driver.

Not sure what it involves but you should have a look at it. It solved my issue of the random BSOD when tabbing out.

It wasn't a GPU driver issue it was OS based.

Certain files that weren't compatible or some shit i dunno.

I had the same issue with Win10 not long ago. Some games and programs were incompatible, and a few refusing to launch entirely but I upgraded Win8.1 to Win10 on my desktop rig about 10 days ago now and have had 0 issues with anything yet. It's definitely been fixed and updated since I last had issues.
